Freeset® mandrel STOP (Service warning)
If your Freeset tool becomes inoperable and the following message is displayed, then you may have a service block activated on your tool. The service block provides preventive maintenance warnings at intervals you specify. The tool is supplied with intervals specified by RivetKing®, and although not suggested, they can be disabled. This error occurs when the tool counters for preventive maintenance have expired.

Connect your tool via USB to a computer running
RivetKing-freeset-manager. Login as: SERVICE Password is: ‘Serv’ Hit the READ button then hit the setup button |

The values on this screen are set to the recommended service amounts.
The tool will automatically prevent operation (mandrel stop error) once the
values on the right become greater than the values on the left. The values on
the right provide the service technician with the running total of use to be
used to determine the level of service needed. Changing the values on the
right will void the warranty. |

INCREASING THE PREVENTITIVE
MAINTENANCE INTERVALS |

Once service has been performed then the values on the left may be
adjusted (doubled). This will remove the Mandrel Stop error and allow for use
of the tool. |

DISABLING THE PREVENTITIVE
MAINTENANCE INTERVALS (Not suggested) |

If service and or preventative maintenance is to be ignored, then
these values to the left of “x1000[rivet] may also be set to 0. Changing
these values are acceptable but not suggested. Changing the values on the right will void
the warranty. |
